Project Story

A principal bedroom in a family home, Room of Decor was commissioned to breathe new life into the space that was once neglected in design and in need of new character.

The brief based on what the client envisioned, was for the room to be a space where she can unwind, be enwrapped in ultimate comfort and neatly situate all belongings into a dedicated place of their own.

Elevated by a colour scheme filled with neutral and depthful tones to create and balance the duality of warmth and freshness in the bedroom; storage solutions found in fitted, full-height wardrobes and dual purpose furniture that provide capacity for complete organisation; and, furnishings, fittings and accessories that align in texture and materiality — wood, faux silks, and velvets — to allow every part of the room to feel connected to each other.

Transformed to a sanctuary that feels serene, elevated and refined in both design and purpose; Project Solo Retreat is now a bedroom that the client enjoys retreating into.

In the clients own words:

"It was a pleasure to have Tamla redesign my bedroom. Her design vision, attention to details and management of the project from start to finish was outstanding and very professional.

The mood board Tamla created was beautiful, as the colours, textures and soft furnishings all worked well together."

My room looks beautiful and I am thrilled with the final result. I will highly recommend!"
