Founded in 2025 and led by me, Tamla-Maria, the origins of Room of Decor are rooted in my passion and intrigue for the transformative power of interior design.
Always being drawn to interiors, it was my own bedroom renovation in 2020 that propelled me to pursue this passion and to celebrate my creativity through showcasing the design and decoration that elevated what was once an outdated 1980s room, into an elegant and contemporary sanctuary on the Instagram page, @room of decor in 2022.
Though just a bedroom and what began as a passion project, this one room birthed the opportunity in 2023 to work for the UK’s leading home stager, styling prime properties for developers and private clients in London and Surrey; and to gain a certification in Residential Interior Design from the leading design school, where I learned to merge my design skill with applied technical skill.
Now, as a career changer with a background in luxury retail, corporate communications and home staging, my experience hosts a tapestry of skills and strengths from every facet of my journey: the confidence and the know-how in providing a tailored service for each client, clear communication that entrust strategic project direction, alongside an attention to detail that promotes your desired results for your home.
Moved by the transformative power of design within my own home, it’s now a power that will be shared with you in yours.
